So this week, I’m dropping my oldest son off at college. It’s a big moment, and I’m not sure how I’m going to handle it. You can chat with me about it on facebook here, if you want to watch the whole messy scene unfold.
After that, we are going to DC with the rest of the family and enjoying a nice, busy family vacation. I really think it will be a great diversion for me, and it’s a super-educational opportunity for the rest of them. They haven’t been to DC since they were babies, literally. Adana made a huge list of everything she wants to see there, so we’ll be running from building to monument to museum the entire time. I’ll keep you updated on Instagram here.
For the past couple weeks, though, I’ve been super busy talking about Rocking Ordinary and the amazing influence that YOU have every ordinary day. I’ve met some pretty fascinating people and held some really fun discussions. If you’d like to join the conversation — please do! — here’s where to find it:
PODCAST: A Mom’s Mission Field with Tiffany Castleberry
Seriously, this is a great podcast to listen to regularly, anyway. I am always challenged and encouraged by Tiffany and her guests. We talked about discouragement, boredom, burdens, and adoption, and it was a lot of fun. Listen here.
RADIO: Good Morning Ozarks
Oh, this was so exciting, talking LIVE on the air about Rocking Ordinary and how God leads in daily life. You can listen to the recording here.
EXCERPT: Two Types of Marital Problems You Already Have (iBelieve.com)
I shared an excerpt from the book that resonated with so many readers. And I’m still getting messages about it. Do you have these types of marital problems? Take a look here.
EXCERPT: The Hardest Part of Childrearing (christianhomeschoolhub.com)
I also shared an excerpt on childrearing for CHSH. And it was humbling, because of course I went through the SAME dilemma the day it published. I wonder if you struggle with this as much as I do? Tell me here.
That’s just a small sample of the interviews and guest posts I’ve been working on lately. This week, I’m happy to take some time off to vacation and do some site-seeing. What is on YOUR calendar this week?
