The Reason | Homeschool High School Made Easy 16

Welcome to the month-long series “Homeschool HIGH SCHOOL Made Easy,” a follow-up to the popular “Homeschool Made Easy” series (now published on kindle). I’m sharing tips from my experience as a homeschool graduate and homeschool mother, showing YOU how easy and enjoyable these high school years can be for you and your teen. Be sure to sign up for the entire series so you don’t miss a thing!

Are you tired yet of my harping on your homeschool why? I keep coming back to this because maintaining a focus on your priorities is so crucial. No matter what challenges you face in these four years, no matter what struggles with your student, no matter what burdens you carry, this truth remains constant: you are homeschooling for a reason. If you know of a surety that God called you to disciple your teen every day, if you maintain a vision for what God is accomplishing through this relationship with your son or daughter, if you remain faithful day in and day out to the mission God called you to serve, then you absolutely cannot fail.

“You are My witnesses,” declares the LORD,
“And My servant whom I have chosen,
So that you may know and believe Me
And understand that I am He.
Before Me there was no God formed,
And there will be none after Me.
“I, even I, am the LORD,
And there is no savior besides Me.
“It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed,
And there was no strange god among you;
So you are My witnesses,” declares the LORD,
“And I am God.
“Even from eternity I am He,
And there is none who can deliver out of My hand;
I act and who can reverse it?”

— Isaiah 43:10-13

Enjoy your day of rest. Beginning Monday, we’ll discuss the social issues that arise with our homeschool teens and how to use these opportunities to train them toward adulthood. Be sure to invite a friend!
