At long last, after several years’ hiatus, I am back to blogging regularly! And I’m so excited to be back at my own home on the interwebs.
Let’s catch up!
I‘m a little older (not much!), a lot more healthy, and just as busy as before.
My children are so big now, ranging from seven to sixteen. Teaching elementary, middle school, and high school simultaneously is more fun than I expected. We’re still eclectically classical, using Tapestry of Grace, textbooks, Red Wagon Tutorials, and lively discussions. I feel like we’ve settled into our own unique learning culture that is comfortable and enjoyable.
My husband is still the super hero of the family. He works as a banker, coaches two competitive soccer teams, directs an AWANA ministry, and keeps me sane. I’m so grateful to see our children taking after him more and more.
I still love coffee and tea and reading; hate housework and crafts and scary movies; and play the piano and violin and Pandora.
What’s new with me?
I’m working as a freelance marketing copywriter; my primary client is a Dallas marketing firm. I’m very excited to begin teaching English this coming fall with Red Wagon Tutorials. My days are pretty full now, writing the lessons and the brand-new student notebooks for those classes. That’s two books to write this year! And on top of that, I hope to write my own work of nonfiction this year, as well. I think 2015 will be an exciting year!
I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content. — Phil. 4:11
I’m quite excited about the new blog space here, though. After so very long with WhateverStateIAm, I’m happy to unveil the new lagarfias.com. We’ve got a fresh, new look and some exciting content in store. I plan to write about the eclectic topics I’m interested in:
- Influence/Leadership
- Family
- Homeschooling
- Writing
- Books
I’m so looking forward to getting back to chatting with you regularly about these things and hope you’ll join the conversation, too!
Keep in touch!
So, what do you want to see more of here? Leave me a question or topic below! And always feel free to reach out on facebook or twitter. I’d love to hear from you!
